Lessons From Life - Money is an Energy

One of the things most practical minded people may have a hard time understanding is that money is an energy. I'm not referring to some pseudoscience or metaphysical principle. Money is a form of energy in our society. We trade it for our knowledge and for our labor. We trade it for our entertainment and our comfort.

Understanding that money is an energy can make it easier to understand why some people have more of it than others. And also why some spend it so quickly it drains their bank accounts. If you want to earn more money you will have to learn how to produce more and conserve it. Just like you would have to eat nutritious foods and get adequate rest if you were referring to your own physical energy.

The more energy you can trade, the more dollars you will receive. For example, there is not a whole lot of excitement in a pair of socks. So, as a society we don't value socks with too high of a price tag. We use them everyday, so they have quite a bit of use value, but no one really gets enthusiastic over a brand new pair of white socks. On the other hand a CD gives us much more excitement and enjoyment in our lives so we tend to place a higher value on that. A single pair of Hanes socks may only cost less than $ 1 but a good CD will cost $ 12 or more.

Give off more energy and not just use value when you are in business or providing a service. Doing this will almost guarantee that you make more money in your future. Then learn to conserve this energy by saving it and investing it wisely.
